COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Idaho businesses expressed their appreciation and support for local veterans at the Veterans Stand Down Event at Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

According to Debbi Nadrchal with Veterans Stand Down, the event showcases resources like job opportunities and medical services available to Idaho’s veterans. Attendees could get free haircuts and food and receive important care that they might not be aware of.

“They’ve given everything to us, as you know, to have a free country, and so it’s just very important – it’s our heart to give back to them,” said Nadrachal.

Veterans Stand Down does work year-round to help connect veterans to services. To see more about what they do, visit them on Facebook.
