Voters will soon vote in Washington State Primary

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington State Primary is on Tuesday, August 6, and this year, over 20 items are on the ballot for Spokane County voters.

This election is the Gubernatorial Race, marking the biggest race this year for voters.

Candidates running for Governor are Democrat Bob Ferguson, Republican Dave Reichert and Republican Semi Bird.

Candidates running for Attorney General are Democrat Nick Brown, Democrat Manika Dhingra and Republican Pete Serrano.

11 candidates are running for the 5th Congressional District. The top three who have brought in the most financial donations are Republican Michael Baumgartner, Republican Jacquelin Maycumber and Doctor Bernadine Bank.

The election is Tuesday, and there are multiple ways to submit your vote. You can deliver your ballot to any drop-off box throughout town at any library or the County Elections Office. If you’re mailing in your ballot, you need to have it postmarked by Tuesday. Those who are not registered to vote can do so on Election Day.
