A Washington Post cartoonist says she has decided to quit after editors rejected her sketch of the newspaper’s owner and other media executives bowing to President-elect Donald Trump. Ann Telnaes posted a message Friday on the online platform Substack saying that she drew a cartoon showing a group of media executives including Post owner Jeff Bezos bowing to Trump while offering him bags of money. Telnaes said the companies have been trying to persuade Trump to eliminate regulations. She said the cartoon was rejected, the first time she’s ever had a cartoon killed because of its inherent messaging. She said such a move is dangerous for the free press.
