A grim milestone was reached on Wednesday over 5,000 Washingtonians have died from COVID-19.
Governor Jay Inslee said there are a total of 5,012 deaths in the state related to COVID-19.
“Let us mourn for the families who have lost loved ones and be thankful for the Washingtonians who have pitched in to prevent further passing,” Gov. Inslee wrote in a statement. “Each of these 5,000 lives were more than a number to us.”
So far, 323,123 cases of COVID-19 are confirmed in Washington.
