WENATCHEE VALLEY, Wash. – Wenatchee Valley firefighters rescued a kitten from a tree on Monday.
According to the Wenatchee Valley Local #453, the classic scenario took place because the cat’s owner attempted to climb up and rescue her pet but got stuck.
“If your cat is ‘stuck’ in a tree, we don’t advise going up after it. Generally once they have calmed down they find their own way back to the ground safely!” the Local #453 said via social media.
While firefighters don’t typically rescue kittens from trees in real life, it was an opportunity for a storybook moment that ended with a safe Wenatchee Valley resident being reunited with her cat.
