WEST PLAINS, Wash. – Commissioner French is continuing efforts to address PFAS contamination in private wells on the West Plains by offering filtration systems to affected residents.

During a recent town hall, property owners expressed the need for full house and livestock filtration systems for their contaminated wells.

French is now inviting additional residents with confirmed PFAS contamination to contact his office and join the list for these filtration systems.

The county will seek funding from the Washington State Legislature and EPA grants to provide these systems.

French’s long-term goal includes securing a clean water source for up to 80,000 West Plains residents.

The deadline to join the list is September 30, and affected residents can sign up by emailing vlyfar@spokanecounty.org.
