Officials say time is running out for people to evacuate as powerful Hurricane Milton charges closer to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Millions have been ordered to evacuate and bridges and roads were closing as the Category 4 storm approaches. Milton is expected to make landfall late Wednesday and bring massive storm surges, damaging winds and flooding rains. The storm is threatening the Tampa Bay area, which is home to over 3.3 million people. The city has avoided a direct hit from a major hurricane for over 100 years. Milton is also menacing communities battered after deadly Hurricane Helene came ashore two weeks ago.
