Where to ski before the seasons ends

SPOKANE, Wash. – Ski season is almost over so some resorts are offering discounts to get you back on the slopes before it’s too late.

Key slope closing dates to keep an eye on (these can change depending on weather, call before you go):

Mt. Spokane and 49 Degrees North – April 7 (49 likely to extend)Schweitzer and Lookout – April 14Silver Mountain – April 20

Discounts / free skiing:

Kids ski free all week at Mt. Spokane for Spring Break.Free lift rides for everyone on Sunday, April 7th at Mt. Spokane for their last day (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)Donate 3 cans of food at 49 Degrees North and you can save up to $25 on your lift ticket for the day. The food gets donated to the Chewelah Food Bank (last year about 2700 lbs of food donated).

If you are looking for another way to give back, Silver Mountain is hosting their annual leadman triathlon on their last day open (April 20th).

It’s a 4-mile run, 7.5-mile bike ride, and 1-mile ski.

Over the past 19 years they have raised nearly 200 thousand dollars for various local charities.

Registration prices vary but start around $50. The deadline to register is April 16th. You can sign up here!
