WASHINGTON (AP) — Senior officials from President-elect Donald Trump’s administration have participated in a transition exercise hosted by President Joe Biden’s team on responding to potential terror attacks and avian flu, among other challenges. Wednesday’s exercise has been a key part of presidential transitions since the 2001 terror attacks. During the exercise, the outgoing and incoming teams rehearse how to respond to and manage a range of national security crises. Attendees from the Trump side included Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio, national intelligence director nominee Tulsi Gabbard and defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth.
