SPOKANE, Wash. – Attorney General Bob Ferguson (D) is gearing up for the August primary elections by touting his policy record and endorsements. Who from Spokane has endorsed the gubernatorial hopeful?

Mayor Lisa Brown endorsed the Ferguson Campaign while she was the mayor-elect in Dec. 2023. Ferguson thanked Brown for her endorsement via social media and highlighted his own connection to the Lilac City.

“Lisa Brown…served as Senate Majority Leader and helped grow our economy as the head of the Department of Commerce. As a former resident of Spokane myself, I am proud to have her support,” Ferguson said.

Spokane City Council President Betsy Wilkerson and Council Member Zach Zappone have joined Brown in endorsing Ferguson alongside Spokane County Commissioner Chris Jordan.

The Spokane Tribe of Indians endorsed Ferguson in May. Ferguson highlighted his experience working with Indigenous Leaders when announcing the support of the tribe.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Spokane Tribe of Indians. I began my legal career in Spokane – so I know just how much they contribute to communities in Eastern Washington, particularly with environmental protection,” Ferguson said.

Washington Senate Majority Leader Andy Billig (D), Representative Tim Ormsby (D) and Marcus Riccelli (D) have also endorsed Ferguson’s campaign.
