Woman arrested for allegedly stabbing in Spokane’s Logan neighborhood

SPOKANE, Wash. — Police arrested a woman Friday afternoon in connection to a stabbing that sent two people to the hospital in Spokane’s Logan neighborhood.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on North Division near the Dollar Tree just before noon.

According to a release from a Spokane Police Department spokesperson, one of the officers saw a woman actively assaulting people as he arrived. In his presence, police said the suspect stabbed a man and attempted to stab another as she was detained.

After detaining the suspect, identified by police as 31-year-old Trischa Maravilla, police found another stabbing victim nearby.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries.

Maravilla was booked in the Spokane County Jail with three counts of first-degree assault.
