LEWISTON, Idaho. — A woman is dead and a man was transported to the hospital after a crash on US-12 near Lewiston on Thursday.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the 32-year-old woman was driving westbound on US-12 when she drove into a tree. ISP said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 40-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
ISP said no one was wearing their seatbelt during the crash.
US-12 was blocked for almost three hours and has since reopened. The cause of this crash is under investigation.
