Woman killed in crash east of Minnehaha neighborhood identified

SPOKANE, Wash. — The woman who died in the hospital after a crash just east of Spokane on Wednesday was identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner Friday morning.

Sarah Campbell, 39, died of blunt force injuries due to the accident, per the medical examiner.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash, which shut down North Carnahan Lane and East Frederick Avenue for an hour on Wednesday.

Campbell was among six people taken to the hospital after the crash, including four children. The other five people involved in the crash were expected to be okay.
