FREEMAN, Wash. — Drivers who use SR-27 south of Spokane will need to plan for additional travel time while new sensors are installed at the Weigh-in-Motion site.
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews will begin work on May 1 at 7 a.m. until about 3 p.m. SR-27 will be reduced to one lane just north of the Palouse Highway. Intersection flaggers will be guiding drivers through construction, you should expect delays.
“Weigh-in-Motion sites allow commercial vehicles to be weighed by driving over a sensor in the pavement rather than stopping and pulling into a traditional weigh station,” WSDOT said. “This helps keep goods and products moving while still ensuring correct data is collected and any road restrictions are followed.”
