COLBERT, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is planning on cleaning up what appears to be an encampment on a cliff near Colbert.
According to WSDOT, the department used a drone to monitor the area and found debris and tents suggesting that several people had lived there. It does not appear that anyone inhabits the encampment currently.
There is no WSDOT timeline on the cleanup due to the difficulty of safely removing the items from the cliff, but staff are currently creating a plan to clear the area.
