PULLMAN, Wash. – The beloved “WSU ambassadog” is reaching out to the dog lovers’ community after receiving an unfortunate health diagnosis

Dash is a 13-year-old golden retriever who has over 65k Instagram followers sharing his daily life updates while also cheering for his Cougs.

The local dog went viral over 8 years ago when his owner snapped of picture of him with a hotdog in his mouth at a Mariners game sending him spiraling into the viral sensation he is today.

In November, Dash and his family received some heartbreaking news that he had histiocytic sarcoma and needed surgery. Dash successfully recovered from his splenectomy and responded well to chemotherapy.

When Dash went in for his most recent chemotherapy appointment, doctors unfortunately found a new tumor that also now has to be removed.

The procedure for the tumor removal costs $7,000 – $9,000 and Dash needs the communities support and help to get the treatment he needs.

“If you love animals, if you follow my adventures, if you’ve ever smiled, laughed, or cried at my posts, & if you have the ability to do so, it’d mean the world if you’d consider contributing to my Go Fund Me soon. Any amount helps.” said Dash’s family.

If you would like more information you can find that at Dash’s Instagram here.
