PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University’s Veterinary Teaching School is raising awareness about the stress that holiday gatherings can cause for pets.
Dr. Cassidy Cordon highlighted that having many guests can be overwhelming not only for hosts but also for cats and dogs.
To help pets feel secure, WSU veterinarians recommend providing a quiet room for them during Christmas celebrations.
Additionally, they advise keeping medications out of pets’ reach and avoiding feeding them from the table.
These precautions can help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pets during the festive season.
